Question 2

What's included in a Dune Quest Tours desert safari?

Accepted Answer

Every Dune Quest Tours Desert Safari & Dinner Show includes private door-to-door 4x4 transfers, a self-drive ATV session, dune bashing and sandboarding, camel rides, a BBQ buffet dinner, and live entertainment including the Fort Fire Show and Tanoura, held at The Fort, Al Lisaili. The VIP package adds a private gazebo, dedicated table service, a dune buggy ride, zip line and shisha.

Question 3

Is a Dubai desert safari safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dune Quest Tours safaris are led by expert local desert guides with a full safety briefing and warm-up before every activity, and all safety gear (helmet, goggles and mask) is provided for ATV and dune buggy rides. The experience is suitable for most ages, with a minimum age of 3 for the safari and 5 for self-drive activities.

Question 4

Is a morning or evening desert safari better?

Accepted Answer

An evening desert safari is the most popular choice at Dune Quest Tours, as it combines dune activities at sunset with a BBQ dinner and live entertainment under the stars. Morning safaris suit guests who prefer cooler temperatures and a shorter, activity-focused trip.

Question 5

What's included in the BBQ buffet at The Fort, Al Lisaili?

Accepted Answer

The Dune Quest Tours BBQ buffet features authentic Arabian flavours with a range of grilled meats, vegetarian options, salads and desserts, served with unlimited chilled water and soft drinks. VIP guests enjoy the buffet with dedicated table service in a private gazebo.

Question 6

Where is the Dune Quest Tours desert safari located and how long is the drive?

Accepted Answer

Dune Quest Tours operates in the Lehbab Red Dunes at The Fort, Al Lisaili, around a 45-minute drive from central Dubai. Private hotel and residence pickup is included, with pickups from 14:00 to 14:30.

Question 7

What makes a VIP Desert Safari different from the Standard?

Accepted Answer

The VIP Desert Safari & Dinner Show gives you a reserved private gazebo with the best views in camp, dedicated waiter and table service, plus both a 30-minute ATV and a 30-minute dune buggy ride, a zip line, and complimentary shisha. The Standard safari includes the ATV session, an hour of dune bashing and sandboarding, and shared camp seating with a personal bonfire.

Question 8

Is the desert safari suitable for young children and seniors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Dune Quest Tours Standard and VIP Desert Safaris welcome children from age 3 and have no upper age limit, making them suitable for families and seniors. Guests can choose how much of the dune bashing and self-drive activity they take part in.

Question 9

What should I wear to a Dubai desert safari?

Accepted Answer

For a Dune Quest Tours desert safari, wear light, breathable clothing and closed-toe shoes, and bring a light layer for the evening as desert temperatures drop after sunset. Sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen are recommended for afternoon pickups.

Question 10

Do you offer hotel pickup and drop-off in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All Dune Quest Tours experiences include private door-to-door 4x4 transfers from your Dubai hotel or residence, with safari pickups from 14:00 to 14:30 and ATV or dune buggy pickups available earlier or later on request.
